4k resolution is well and good but always shoot your film with paper and a pencil first. Make your editorial, artistic and logistical decisions on paper - your time and money are precious.
Storyboards are a blue-print for your production. They don't need to be highly finished but must clearly demonstrate how your story is constructed on a shot by shot basis.
Storyboards can be a great asset in clearly communicating a project to clients or creative partners.
Good boards allow your team to see shot size, angle, key action and movement at a glance, creating a paper edit of the production well before cameras turn over.
Here's a selection of boards I created for advertising agencies and production companies.
